Colo4 Company History

November 2011: Colo4's parent company, Cequel Data Centers, adds locations in Oklahoma City and Tulsa with the acquisition of Perimeter Technology.

November 2010: Colo4 named for the fourth year in a row as a winner of Dallas 100™ Award by the Caruth Institute for Entrepreneurship at the SMU Cox School of Business.

October 2010:  Colo4 celebrates the start of its 10th year in business.

July 2010: Colo4 is acquired by Cequel Data Centers, LLC. With this transaction, Colo4 becomes a subsidiary of Cequel Data Centers and welcomes Paul Estes as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.

September 2009: Colo4 ranked #555 by Inc. on the magazine's annual ranking of the 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in the country.

September 2009: Colo4 Named among DFW's Best Places to Work in annual survey conducted by the Dallas Business Journal.

August 2009: President and CTO Paul VanMeter named a finalist in the Tech Titans Awards presented by the Metroplex Technology Business Council.

July 2009: Colo4 adds a DWDM network connection to the INFOMART.

January 2009: Colo4 completes the expansion of its flagship facility with 30,000 square feet of new data center space.

November 2008: Colo4 named a repeat winner of Dallas 100™ Award by the Caruth Institute for Entrepreneurship at the SMU Cox School of Business.

September 2008: Colo4 ranked by Inc. as #590 on the magazine's annual ranking of the 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in the country.

June 2008: Due to increasing demand, Colo4 triples its data center space.

November 2007: Colo4 named a winner of the Dallas 100™ Award by the Caruth Institute for Entrepreneurship at the SMU Cox School of Business.

2004 to 2007: With steady customer growth, Colo4 realizes a 551% three-year growth rate.

July 2005: Colo4 adds internap to network infrastructure.

June 2004: Colo4 begins offering premium bandwidth from TW Telecom.

October 2000: Paul VanMeter and Pat Thompson co-found Colo4 (known then as Colo4Dallas).
